Well, here's another shot from my morning at Roxborough State Park, wherein Stan Rose forecasted ripe conditions for a nice sunrise.
Comments and critiques always welcome, and thanks for looking,
Morris

Excellent composition! Love how the lupine start at a point and spread apart from fore to aft.
The foreground seems just a bit too bright to me with those sunrise colors in the sky, though

I think I prefer the one you most recently posted in M&N where the composition and light on the foreground seemed better. Mind you this is pretty pleasing too.

Well composed and well balanced. The sharpness from foreground to background is exquisite.

Another beautiful capture Morris.. I agree with John here ,, may be lower the brightness of the foreground a bit? But you do have some amazing details all through out the image...

I think the composition is great with the separation that the nearest cluster of flowers is getting. The morning sky is really nice, and there are just enough of the rocks poking up to provide an important sense of place. It looks a smidge too bright to me throughout, but other than that...great!

Morris,
I love the soft quality of this image. It is very inviting and not over powering. The FG is a great lead in to a wonderful BG sky. Well seen and executed.

I can appreciate how tough this was to compose--particularly under the time constraints we were under! Excellent job, Morris--i think maybe a tiny bit of burning the fg and this will be perfect.

Great image, Morris - excellent comp. I wouldn't go too far darkening the fg - just a little, and don't change the midground. I do think, w/ some luminosity masking, you could generate even a little more 'pop' from the sky if you so chose

Hi Morris,
I agree with the others about the FG, but just slightly though. In fact, I probably wouldn't have even noticed it until I read the other peoples' comments. Overall, I love the processing here, especially the greens in the bushes and the color of the sky. The criss crossing weeds in the FG are a really nice touch too. It looks like you either have some blue chromatic aberration around the top of the rock or a bit of web haloing there. That should be an easy fix though. I hope this helps.

Really nice Mitch, some nice colors and light. I wouldn't mind seeing the scene just a tad darker overall, bring out the colors in the sky a bit. Just a thought. Nice work.

Looks like Stan pegged it right. This is beautiful from front to back and aside from the minor brightness issue others have noted, I can't find anything to critique.

I really like the alternating posts from you and Stan. What a great morning the two of you had. Comp here looks fine, though more saturation would, I think, add to the drama provided by these colors. Of course, "more saturation" is my solution of choice to many images . . . just so you know.

Great capture, beautiful sky. I have to agree with the others that the FG is a bit bright. Also, if it were me I would have moved up beyond the clump of flowers in the front to capture a greater density of flowers in the FG.
