As I was paddling back to shore in my kayak, this amazing sunset came before me, and reflected in the water. C and C's welcome. Thanks. :toast:

Wow. Certainly one of the best water surface/light abstracts I've seen. Great catch!

The combination between light and water is mesmerizing. The black at the bottom distracts a bit.

Excellent abstract, Mitch. Love all the curves in there. One other option could be to crop away the lowest grayish curve to simplify the shot a little.

Amazing abstract. Great color and light, and the shallow dof works really well. :toast:

That's serendipity for ya. This is a fine water abstract, I love the swirling lines and colors. My only nit here is the dark area at the bottom, it feels a little empty.

Very cool shot. Great water reflection scene with very nice color and shapes. I could see cropping the very darkest part of the bottom off.

I'd crop the bottom black part off but very nice otherwise.

Mitch,

I'll echo the other comments. I'd probably crop up from the bottom - other than that this is gorgeous to my eye.

I don't think I would have the guts to forgo a beautiful sunset like that and focus on an image like this. Glad you do, because this is a treat. Well seen and captured!

Love the pattern, comp, and color. When I shoot these types I sometimes get frustrated by the limited depth of field.

What an expressive image, Mitch. Sunset by proxy. Very well seen and done.

Mitch, this is superb interplay of reflected light and water ripples. The reflected glow is sweet and golden sheen to the water makes the whole image luminous.

The color and shapes in this are outstanding, almost other worldly. I do agree with the bottom crop suggestions.

Love water/reflection abstracts and this one is a stunner Mitch!! Awesome. Agree about the black bottom as others have said--tons of cropping opp's. :toast:

Way cool abstract, Mitch. I love the swirls of liquid color. I actually like the darker area at the bottom; it helps balance the black area toward the middle of the image. :toast:
