Sliver of Light

Three weeks of visiting family and friends in the Northeast allowed me 6 days and nights of camping in the North Maine Woods. Late June has plenty of clouds and lots of rain. This particular morning a sliver of light around 5 am as the sun desperately tried to show itself. The day started at 4:30 am as I kayaked to this destination then waded in freezing cold water as the air temperature registered just under 40 degrees. A beautiful summer’s morning in northern Maine.

Suggestions, comments always welcome.

I love Maine; dying to get back up there. This is quite nice.

Note to self: never move to northern Maine.

This is spectacular, David. Comp and light are fantastic. You certainly deserve for what you endured to get it.

Wonderful, David. My only doubts are about the rock touching the shore up there - not sure if that works too well.

This really captures the mood and feel of sunrise very nicely, and your comp is lovely.
