Rays of the sun break through the morning mist at Muir Woods National Monument. Thanks for viewing-

Wonderful rays and beautiful light on the giant trees. One of my favorite places.

Wonderful scene. Love it. Nicely detailed composition that shows off many aspects of the forest yet not too cluttered to be effective.

Chris,
You have done a wonderful job of capturing Muir Woods. Its not an easy place to photograph. The lighting is perfect and those rays the the composition together very nicely.

Thank you all for the comments. I'm glad you enjoyed the image. Muir Woods is some what of a place of reverence for me, so I really connect with this one on an emotional level. I am happy that is resonates with others as well.

Beautiful scene here. It is a very simplified view of a complex scene -- the epitome of what we strive for as nature photographers.

This certainly captures the light and atmosphere that is possible here. My though would be to do a rather heavy vignette around some of the outer edges to put greater focus on light rays in the scene.

Beautiful redwood shot, very nice placement of all the elements, especially the sun rays.

Great control of the light. Too bad the compression must have killed the amazing detail. Large print must be superb.

Thanks again everyone for your comments!
Tony- Generally speaking, I'm not a big fan of vignetts, but I always welcome suggestions, so thank you. I like the way the tree in the lower left and the tree in the upper right frame the image, so I'd be affraid I would loose that element.
Tien- Definitely not the best type of photo web presentation, but I should be able to get a very nicely detailed print up to 24" x 30".
