I shot this little jumper yesterday, on some strawberry plants from our yard. Used the Viveza 2 selective photo editing program care of Mike Moats on it. I selectively brought up some shadow around the eyes/head and right side of the spider. Also reduced brightness in the light area around its mouth/palps from the flash effect.
Great program, I recommend it :)
F/16, 1/200th, ISO 800. Canon 1D Mark III, Sigma 150mm + Kenko 2x ext with fill. Tripod & wire. 90% from original.

Before I pulled up the picture I thought it was an owl, I really like all the detail with the hairs and I really like the glitch of light in the eye. The background is perfect.

Hey Howard, this is cool how he is wrapped up like a little ball, well done.

Howard won first place on my macro contest last month, glad the Viveza 2 is working out, it is a great program. :toast:

Howard:
Good job in capturing this tiny hair ball. Nice exposure and lovely catchlight on the eyes.

Lovely image with excellent details. Like the way the legs are curled in - very different !
