Caught these early this morning here in Northern Alabama having a great feast on the dill plants. I assume these to be future Monarchs or Swallowtails. Any other opinions greatly appreciated.

Anyone know how long before they become adults?

Definitely a swallowtail, probably a black swallowtail (Papilio polyxenes) given the coloration and host plant.

The monarchs live exclusively off of plants in the milkweed group.

Swallowtails. They look really hungry.
