This photo largely speaks for itself, on real and symbolic levels. At the time, this tiger cub was approximately 14 months old, self-confident and curious. Nothing seemed to faze him. He now resides in Bhopal Zoo, having been labeled a "man eater" for killing two local people: a man herding his cattle on the park boundary and a woman collecting wood inside the park.

D70, 70-200VR 2.8, ISO 200, f/2.8, 1/100, handheld, cropped for composition, minimal PP (levels, saturation, contrast)

C&C welcome.

I love that fearless stare. What is the blurred 'border' from?

There was a safari vehicle in front on mine making it necessary to shoot through the "crowd." The blurred border on the right is a man's body, supporting himself against the roll-bar, which is seen in the upper left portion. The lower left is the head of a second person.
