Cat claw sensitive briar

I hope you aren't getting tired of my wildflowers, because I have lots more to process! This year was really good for the wild things, especially out in the Flint Hills.

I've read that if these flowers are touched, the leaves curl up, but I've never tried it so don't know if it's true or not. I sure do like them. The little bright pink puffballs are beautiful out on the prairie!

Beautiful puff Angela. I particularly like the crop of the flower in the composition. The larger image is very nice. Beautiful work. No suggestions.

This is very nice. Creative and effective decisions regarding dof and composition. Really cool presentation.

Nice image, I like how you selected the center to be in focus. Not sure if I like the edge cut off. Thanks for posting. Glad to hear it was a good flower year in Kansas.

Hi Angela, So glad you included the larger view. I really like the detail in the focal plane.

I hope you have one of these puff balls in total with no clipping.

Such a charming little flower.

Cheers,

Carol

I just wish this flower weren't clopped... otherwise the DOF and colors are really pleasing.

Angela, I never get tired of seeing the wild flowers, not sure of what I'm going to do when they are gone. Very nice color and detail, and presented beautifully.

Angela,

I know that I am not getting tired of them. I don't comment always because I am still absorbing at a great rate all what I am seeing in FLORA.

This is beautiful.

Very nice shot; the colours are wonderful. Not completely sure about the cut of the flower.

I can confirm what you describe: leaves fold inward and droop when touched or shaken, re-opening minutes later; we have this plant in our garden and it is always a great surprise for children and guests.

Angela: You'll be on my official stink list if you stop posting the wildflowers  . I especially like your POF/DOF choice but I do think I would prefer to see the entire flower. The way the edge is clipped here looks awkward to me. >=))>

The first thing that strikes me is the compostion ... very untraditional. Then I get drawn in to the explosion of pink color by the shallow dof and pof you've chosen. Very nice work Angela.
