One in a Vermillion

I was in Banff Alberta earlier this year just wandering around Vermillion lakes trying to locate some potential subject matter in an otherwise drab and colourless day when this particular scene caught my eye. I couldn't help but notice how the reeds on the lower right seemed to natually balance the mountain peak in the upper left with regards to the rule of thirds. As I was getting ready to take the shot, diffused sunlight slowly washed across the peak of the mountain.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by and take a look.

As always your thoughts and comments are welcome and appreciated.

Mark,

It looks like a beautiful location with a lot of potential, but like you said, it was a drab, colorless day. That is what hurting this image unfortunately. However, you do live in Ab, so a return here would worth while IMO! I look forward to seeing more from you!
