Not much going on up here - so, here's another one of the Sora that Charlie and I found deep in the Anza Borrego Desert in April. Processed this a couple of days ago.

1D MkIV, 500mm + 1.4x, 1/1600 @ f8, ISO400, morning light, camera close to ground resting on tripod leg.

Thanks for looking; c & c pls.

Great alert pose and wonderful colors, KC. Love the way the water blends smoothly into the bg.

Great image. The bird is almost shimmering in the light and stands out well against the similarly colored background. I also like that small partial reflection.

That's a wonderful bg with complimentary colors Kwan. Great to get him out in the open like this.

Pose and background first rate - especially like the shared tones of bird and bg.

A lovely image as posted. The light is very nice and the subtleties of the setting really showwcase the rail.

nice pose and a wonderful setting, KC. I remember some of the other shots of this guy--he was certainly a nice model.

I would love to get an image of a Sora. Beautiful light and sharp details. It would be nice if it were turned towards us but I'd still love to have this in my files.

Great crisp capture of an elusive bird. I like the mid-stride, tail up position. Only wish the head angle were more toward the camera.

An excellent Sora image and you got this illusive species out in the open, who could ask for any thing more with a Sora?

Things are slow here too, Kwan. Thanks for reminding me of what a great time we had out there. Can't wait for next Spring!
