A combination of the Imperial Dunes here in California, and some structures from New Mexico. All taken this summer. Any critiques are welcome!

The light and shadow is incredible and create depth and dimension. The lonely human figure put it over the top. However, I would like to see less sky in the frame. There isn't much substance in the sky. It is taking attention away from the dunes.

Thanks Jim and Fabiola - I had a hard time deciding what to do with the sky...since it's already a compilation, I thought about putting something more interesting there, but ultimately decided to just leave the original. I agree that it's a bit of a large empty space, though - perhaps I'll try cropping.

The light and shadows work well here and it has a lot of interest....might also work as a B&W conversion.

I love the lights and shadows and the mood you created in this image. I agree that cropping some of the sky out might make this even better.
