Peggy's Cove Light
by Jim Sabiston
I have a tough act to follow after last week, but I promised more images from the series. This one is of the famous lighthouse at Peggy's Cove. The challenge was twofold: how to come up with a new image of something that has been photographed tens of thousands of times and to do so when the place was crawling with several dozens of tourists.
I decided to use the rocky terrain to advantage and went for a low angle that emphasized the presence of the light, while the low angle also used the rocks to block the site lines to those pesky tourists.

Thanks for any comments.

As I mentioned, this was the most challenging of the subjects and I took a chance with the angle and composition. Sometimes the magic works...
