I saw this unusual African resident (it's an Indian Peacock) in Nyeri in Kenya. It allowed me to approach up to about 3 metres before it would back off. I always think they look quite arrogant so I tried to capture that look by focusing on the eye.

I like your idea to focus on the eye as it draws the attention right away. Do you have a bit more room at the top?

No, in fact, I haven't got more space at the top, this is it, I'm afraid :-(
I know the tip of the feathers is missing and it would have been better if they weren't

As some else said, feels a little too tight on the top but is really a minor thing for me. The DOF works very well. I really like it Ingrid.

Very interesting shot Ingrid. Overall I like it but also agree that a bit more room is needed on the top to get the entire crest in the image.

neat shot, Ingrid. great colors and I like the intensity of the eye. for me, it would be preferable to have the bill sharp too.
