Bottlenose Dolphin eating fresh salmon at Chanory Point on the Moray Firth in Scotland. I was there for a few days taking pictures of them, not the easiest animals to get images of.

Good job on what appears to be a difficult subject. I would wish its head was a bit higher in the water so the fish tail was more apparent, but still an enjoyable image. Thanks for sharing.

Nice photo. I have been in the Gulf of Mexico for over a month. Every chance I get I look for dolphins. I have seen quite a few but they are very difficult to photograph. They are like pop up targets, you never know where they will surface, plus figure in sea state. One day we had a few of them riding our bow wake. I can really appreciate this photo, good job!

It is obvious that dolphins are difficult subjects to photograph and certainly from above water. Considering you managed to capture an image of one eating a fish makes it all the more special. Well done! :toast:

Details look excellent. My only wish would be for some "eye" but this is neat with the fish partly inhaled and the frozen water splash.

WOW! I'am so incredibly jealous of this picture! I LOVE dolphins and have never photographed or seen them yet. I love how sharp it is. And nice timing for the dolphin to catch the fish while he surfaced the water.
