Male Zebra Finch photographed on Kilcowera Station, western Queensland. These birds commonly occur anywhere there is permanent water in arid Australia.

Canon 7D, EF500 f/4 + 1.4 tc, tripod, kwik-camo, ISO100, f/8, 1/320, cropped for composition.

Nice one Simon, good clear view and nice light you have for this image, the ones I found were all in quite twiggy bushes.
