Moon and Tules (WC 446)
by Phil Pogledich
A full moon rising above the dried bed of a seasonal wetland, with the wind sweeping through the tules in the distance. This is a total rework of an image I posted on NPN about a year ago. I cloned out a couple of elements that folks found distracting (some wispy clouds in one corner, a bird poop in the foreground). I also adjusted midtone contrast, eliminated a color cast (mostly, anyway), and cropped it from the bottom to a 4x5 aspect ratio. This challenge gave me the motivation I needed to go back and revisit the shot.
Anyway, as always, your candid thoughts and comments are greatly welcomed. I appreciate any time you can take to share your critique.

6 commentsThe apparent horizon has a slight tilt to the right. Sometimes the terrain actually does slope, but my inclination is to give it the appearance of being level, regardless of whether it actually was or not.
