The strong graphics in this image are really striking.
It seems odd to see people standing on the dune like that.

The composition is very good and I like the image, The sand and trees looks a bit over saturated to me, but I have seen some images that the actual colors is just that strong.

Striking. This appeals to me in a graphic sense, but where are the shadows on the tree trunks coming from? I can't understand that, but would like to.

Thanks for your comments all. Wayne, the shadows of the tree you see are the shadows cast onto the dune by the (low) rising sun that is behind me,on the left.

A very unique image, Vincent! Amazing orange color, very nice choice of composition, people work nicely for scale and the moon is a super big bonus. Good eye and a great shot! :toast:

Vincent,
Intense color in the dune sand, great sense of scale, good detail in the moon. Just one nit and it's not even related to the image, which is really good. It's the title what's the story behind Dune "45" . Is it 45 meters tall?

Paul, the 45 is the distance in km from the entrance gate of the park... It is about 170m or so high.
