From the more recent archives... Haven't been able to get out and photograph flowers much this summer, but there are plenty of orchids in bloom that will be nice subjects in the upcoming weeks.

Luke, your main subject flower is absolutely gorgeous. The light is even and perfect. The composition with the two angled blossoms is unique. Not crazy about that bud in the UR but the only idea I can come up with is to darken it to the same level as the OOF detail in the UR. And not even sure about that idea ...

But I still love the subject flower. Nice processing too.

Cheers,

Carol

The pink bloom sets off the yellow one nicely. Good details at the entrance of the yellow flower and the morning dew adds some additional interest. These flowers are tough to shoot head-on but you did it well with no major distractions.

If you so wish you can burn the brightness of the bud in the URC.

The details in the larger version really pop. The composition doesn't do anything for me though. The large bloom lower right is distracting IMO

I like the main subject Luke. For my tastes though the upper right bud and possibly lower right bud are distractions that weaken the composition. I guess you could try to darken them out in some way but I'm not really sure that you can, even if you want. Your processing is very effective in this.

Main bloom perfectly captured and processed. Like the refreshing drops. Excellent details too.

Very nice image, Luke! Every flower should be captured like this one, with the perfect light and drops of dew.
