20 seconds to sunrise

Exactly - well, more or less - the same composition of my previous post, but 20 minutes later. The sun rose from behind the ridges just few moments after the shutter closed.
This is lake Rosset with the Gran Paradiso range in the background.

Your C&C are as always highly appreciated, thanks for your time.

Sweet! Isn't it amazing what a few minutes can do for a photo. Of the two you posted, I think I like this one the best for it's nice warm glow provided by the rising sun. The flora in the foreground adds a bit of interest. Nicely done. :toast:

OOh this one is much more to my taste Paolo. I can't help feeling the flaming red is a little too fiery but heh I wasn't there. Whatever it is because you have the mix of hot and cool colours that this image really sings for me. Very well done, good to see some shadows too.

Cool shot! I really like those plants in the fg - the warm light on the bg hills is nice too.

Really beautiful light here, Paolo! I like the before and after display...interesting to see a landscape change so much with light. It really proves that light really can make an image. I'm kind of really liking this as a square image tho...cropping off the left side.

I really enjoyed the prior post, but agree that it was only a nice introduction to this one. The extra details and variations in color make a good photo great.

I like this one best too. The kiss of light on the rolling hill just behind the lake is really nice.

Paolo,
Very pleasing image. The color, light and reflection are super. The FG flower adds nicely to the composition. The edge vignetting keeps the eye looking at the main elements. Nicely done. Best Regards.

This is nothing short of amazing. The little details like the texture beneath the water and highlights on the foreground plant really make this one particularly special.

Great idea adding that little plant as a focal point. All the colors you have here really make the image pop. Nice work Paolo.

Beautiful work, Paolo. I love the simplicity and serenity of your composition. The red on the bg mountains is quite amazing and gives the image an other-worldly feel. The illumination on the fg plant is wonderful and really makes this image special. Your color processing is fabulous!

Wonderful shot. The colours are great. The plant in the foreground adds a lot (it is really sharp for such a long exposure).

Congrats

Paolo,

I think I failed to comment on the previous image, but both are outstanding - and both so different. I really liked the spacial difference emphasized in the previous version and the dark calm captured. The dynamics in this one certainly shine with the first light on the landscape. this is just glorious. Now I mentioned "spacial" in your previous version and I thought the positioning of the thistle was quite bold by having the plant so close to the edge - creating that space. In this one here, I'm almost wishing for just a tad more room below the plant. But that's minor as the same dynamic of space works in this version too.

Outstanding image Paolo.

This is outstanding Paolo. I really like the glowing ridge on the right and the foreground plant provides a nice anchor the scene. I spent a long time admiring this one!
