Rural spell

I stumbled upon this "once upon a time-like" small scene while I was scouting the beautiful woods, grassy slopes and enchanted farmlands of Mount Quinzeina in Alto Canavese, Piedmont, Italy.
I reckoned it had a good potential so I decided to get back there the day after, and was rewarded with an exquisite soft light at dawn.

Your C&C are as always highly appreciated, thanks in advance for your time.

Techs: Eos 50D, Tokina ATX-Pro 12-24 f4, tripod, no filters. Single exposure, stitched from five verticals.

PS: because of the pano size, a click on the larger file is highly recommended

Great shot, I was initially in two minds about the line of the fence but I think it leads you down that side of the frame then through that great colour on the mountain and back across to the farm. Really well crafted.

Beautiful image Paolo, lovely countryside. I am about to post a somewhat similar one, taken many miles away in the USA, but when I saw yours it reminded me of my scenic very much!! :toast:

Paolo,

This is beautiful, the colors are brilliant. I agree with Andrew and the fence line, well crafted.

Thanks guys, I'm glad you like it. Compositionally speaking this one was a bit tricky: there's an asphalt road just beside the fence and didn't want to include it, so I tried to move closer to the fence only to notice that I was risking to have too much distorsion on it. I finally found a compromise by stepping back and zomming in a bit, cropping the base of the fence but also avoiding the road to enter in the composition.

Excellent work Paolo. Beautiful seems to be the word for this image, and I agree! Love the colors. This scene has such a wonderful feel to it. Great job on the comp too. I think it really works great. I sure would like to spend time here.

Super creamy light. You did a great job on exposure, Paolo, and also the comp. I bet if the road wasn't there you would have had more options, but this worked out fine. I like the dark on this side of the fence. It sort of leads the eye into the main part of the scene.
