Eastern Yellow Robin

Another one from the weekend. Yellow Robins are confiding little birds and they have a habit of clinging sideways to a trunk or limb.

1D2n 500/f4 1.4X
ISO 400 f9 1/800 exp comp -1/3
cropped from horizontal. Would have preferred a little more room around the bird but in the original the bird is too close to the bottom of the frame to give it any more.

cheers
Rob

Great detail in the bird. Exposure looks great without losing any details in the yellow. Wish the perch was a little smaller for this little bird.

Lovely clean image Rob! The subject is nice and sharp and the BG makes it pop out. I might bring the brightness down just a tad on the perch, but otherwise very well presented.

Rob,

The colors of this bird are gorgeous, great head angle, background and look at the eye. I like the comp and the character of the perch. Nicely done.

Great little bird. I'm fine with the chunky perch and the sharpness and body angle are great. Almost looks 3-D. :toast:

awesome work Rob. Such typical robin pose too. Be glad it's not a huge tree trunk it chose to perch on. it looks perfect to me mate. Keep it up!
