The rut is off to a slow start in Yellowstone. This 6x6 takes out his frustration on the river weeds.

Interesting behavior image. Nicely done. Do you have more of this scene? If so, hope to see them soon. Thanks for sharing.

An interesting frame, well composed. Like the splashing water & side lit stag.

Cool action Jack! If only he were facing you instead of away this would have been a lot stronger though IMO...

Cool capture, Jack. Crop a little to move him out of exact center and it will be even better!

Great action. I like the exposure, the splash shows up well against the dark water. Did he give you a profile view at any point?

Hey Jack. I haven't seen any real rut action yet either. Is this on the Madison? Nice shot.

Thanks for all the kind comments as well as the suggestions. This was on the Madison and this bull had just taken his velvet off a couple of days prior. No profile shots that are back lit, but I have some other shots I am posting later.

Nice action shot, good capture. I agree with Lon, a crop would be stronger...like 15% off the right. The only thing I find as a slight distraction is the jumble of logs in ULC. Its minor, but they draw my eye - maybe tone down? Good job.
