Ronnie

The dramatic light makes this for me. I also love how the head & neck feathers are fluffed up, the way the bill points up and that you caught light in the eye.

There is one red dot in the dark background on the left side of the frame, it looks like a dead sensor pixel?

This is unique, I like it

Unusual image and interesting. I am not sure that I am drawn to the image, but I certainly spent time looking at it which means it works. :toast:

The lighting and pose make this image for me Ronnie - very dramatic. To my eye the bill and eye could be slightly sharper but then again at 1/90 with this "behavior" I'm amazed it isn't just a big blur. Impressive!

An impressive shot Ronnie. I really like the light and the play of light and dark on the different feathers. Very unique. Well done.

This is really striking. If it were mine I would think of cropping a little off the bottom, and further darkening what was left of the lower background. Thus going the whole hog, if not the whole anhinga.

1/90 of a second? Holy cow Ronnie. The lighting is pure magic. The sharpness, open beak and background make this image for me. Very unusual but very intrigueing as well.
