Every morning me and my 8 yr old son Nathan got up early (5am) and went to take pics of the sunrise In Mass a few days before Hurricane Earl. I was so surprised he got up so early he usually sleeps until 10am most days. We had such a good time together. He loves to take pictures. He brought his DSI and took his own shots. Here is one of mine. CC Welcome! Thanks for looking!

This is very pretty Wendy. The shutter speed captured the breaking wave perfectly, and I love the texture in the sand. Nice job!

Sounds like you had a great time, really like the layers of color, and you composed it beautifully, very pretty. Glad to see your starting Nathan early. Talk to you later. Dad.

I agree with Mark. The texture of the wave is beautiful, and the green balances the earth tones perfectly.

Time shooting with our children is priceless, no matter what age they are. I absolutely love the color in this as well as your moment captured in the wave. :toast:

Wendy,

It's "All in the Family..." :-)

A simplistic, yet very calming and beautiful seascape. I too really like the wave, the timing of the curl and crash. Even the reflected light on the sea is quite lovely and of course the inclusion of the sun tops this all off.

I wasn't even going to mention this, but I'm thinking of a very slight crop off the bottom to make space taken up by the sand be somewhat equal with that of the sky. Not sure if that makes sense, but might add some sort of symmetry and balance to the scene. Well done regardless.

The layers here are lovely, Wendy, and the sun is a perfect focal point for this image. I can't think of anything to change.

Gorgeous one, Wendy. I really like your capture of the wave action and the addition of the sunset is a real plus overall. Good to see your recent post here, I hope your mom & dad, John & Patty, are doing well too. Take care....

I like the succession of "horizon" lines, from the infiltrating wave to the horizon.
