Valdez Aerial Pan 06
by Gary Minish
The city of Valdez (my home town) paid me to ride around in a helicopter for an hour and shoot photos of the city, some for promotion and others for practical purposes. It was great fun hanging out the open door shooting photos and being able to tell the pilot to hold here, take er up a few hundred feet, move around to the West, etc! Since the chopper could hover fairly stable I tried a few aerial panoramas. This one is stitched from two horizontal photos (hand held, needless to say). The large version has much more presence and detail.
