Barn Swallow

Earlier in the summer some Barn Swallows were reliably hanging out. I'm in the (long) process of moving so haven't been getting out much. I hope that changes soon.

I like this Luke. Great perch, interesting pose, and a wonderful BG. Neat.

I think your composition is particularly strong Luke. I also like the interesting perch, background colors and the tilted head pose.

Unique background and perch, both attractive. The pastel colors of the background might work even better with less contrast on the subject. I would play a little with increasing the shadows and reducing the brightness on the breast to see how it looks. Good luck with the "moving blues".

nice one, Luke. I like the setting, perch, pose, and comp. I think Gary's got a good idea about doing a little to reduce the brightness on the breast. hope your new place has plenty of nearby photo ops!

Brian,

I only moved 5 miles so... and now I'm on the water which gives me access to the county parks and islands!

Wonderful work Luke! Great comp and lots of detail. Definitely a young Swallow as it has a bright gape.
