On the Trail

This image was photographed on the Natural Garden Trail at the North Carolina Arboretum last fall. I had attended a photography workshop at the Arboretum where the instructor said to be sure to "look up, look down and look behind you" when you are photographing. I had heard this before but sometimes I forget. This day I remembered and looked behind me and this was what I saw. I love the colors and how the trail draws you into the image. Camera is a Nikon D70, handheld, no special filters. Anyone for a hike?

I like this very much Barbara and I particularly like the shadow of the fence in it. I might darken the blues in the sky a little but no suggestions otherwise. Beautiful scene. Glad you posted it.

Wonderful Fall photo Barbara. Your image here has lots of depth and allows the eyes to travel into the photograph and down the trail. The lighting and colors are very nice.
