Great capture. It recalls a marionette!

Well done!

Very nice capture and processing. Your efforts paid off . . . great details, great bokeh.

Hi Balakumar,

What a delightful balancing act.

The colors are incredible and I think you did a good job cleaning up stacking artifacts.

It's hard to know when to quit shooting images for your stack but I think another 4 or 5 images might have included that one leg and the OOF portion of the web.

Nicely done.

You must have had a very calm day.

Balakumar:
dramatic image. Mostly robberflies are the aggressors but here you have one trapped, pale and looking livid. Good work with the stack especially hanging so precariously on a few treads of web and likely to move with the slightest breeze. :toast:

Thank you all for taking time off to view and comment.

@D&L: Nice note on marionette - perfectly said. It can be a title for this image!

@Carol: Actually there was intermittent wind. I had to wait between shots for the swinging mosquito (or robber fly) to stabilize. Fortunately for me, the web retained its original shape and space after every gust of wind and hence the alignment was not a great issue.
Yes, I too realized that one leg was not in focus after I came back home :(
Will watch out from next time...
