Grape Entwined in Vine

This grape was from a bag of purchased grapes: it had grown around the vine, creating a heart-shaped grape, and a very interesting macro shot, when included with it's vine.

Shot with a Nikon D3000, 60 mm Nikkor lens, shutter 1/125 s, f/3.5.

I love to get critical feedback, it helps me to understand what makes a good shot. Thanks!

Stephanie, I think this is a lovely subject for macro photography. You might want to consider shooting from a lower angle so you capture the entire grape.

Stephanie:
Good eye for interesting photogenic subject.
In this image, I wish that you have lowered your camera slightly so that the grape and vine on the right are not touching the edge. Also would like to have more DOF to see the grape in better focus eg F8 or more.

I think Carol and Gary both make good points. A little more depth of field or perhaps just a slight different (closer) point of focus could have improved this a bit. I also find the background a bit distracting and believe something with a little less variety in color/tone would have helped. As is it's an interesting capture nonetheless.
