Wapato or saggitaria (arrow leaf) is a water weed native to the Columbia Gorge. The promontory in the background (looking west) is Crown Point. More familiar views of the Gorge include the Vista House on Crown Point, viewed from the west. This view is from Mirror Pond in Rooster Rock State Park. (you pass it on the right going east from Pdx on I-84)
Canon 5DMk2, 24-105mmL at 24mm. Polarizer. Iso 500, f16, 1/90th sec. The larger version is better.

Very nice Daniel! I've thought about exploring this area, but haven't yet. I really like the foreground flowers, subtle but yet they add a lot. The photo does seem to have a yellow cast on my monitor?

I like the way the stream draws you into the scene. Nice sky.

Really nice comp. The polarizer did a nice job of toning down the clouds and sky, though I could see pulling back on the blue saturation just a bit.
