We hiked the trail of six glaciers above Lake Louise in Banff. Here is a close up of the ever present Chipmunks.

Really cute little guy!
I like the perspective here and the face and bright eye.

Hi Richard,
You certainly got nice and close to this little beast. I am left wishing that those feet weren't chopped off - you've framed/cropped this one close enough to the actual feet that the clipping off of them is a bit of an issue - I suspect if you went vertical on your capture you could have stayed this close AND retained the feet. Just a thought...
Cheers...thanks for sharing this...
Brad
PS: BTW: This Golden-mantled Ground Squirrel (Spermophilus lateralis) would probably take exception to being called a "chipmunk"!

I like the in your face perspective, but agree that this "feels" clipped with the feet missing.

I cropped some off the right edge to move the chipmunk more out of the center. I missed the feet in the original image. I saw that when I processed it and wished I had included them.

Richard, this may be a golden mantled ground squirrel. I don't see the face stripes many chipmunks have. Nice photo. Thanks for sharing.

Feet mentioned but this is a really nice pose. I also like the soft light and colors.

They're cute little fellows. I ditto Brad's comments on the chopped off feet, and I would like to add that your sensor needs some serious cleaning - it's really very dirty.

Very cute. Nice soft looking fur. I agree about the cut-off feet. Pleasant image to view.
