Sugar Land TX. This egret was standing in the morning sun, but the surroundings were all in the shade. I helped the shade "a bit".

You held some really nice details in the whites. Great preening pose and a nice sharp eye. Nicely done.

Very intimate look at the behavior Angela. I really like the detail we can see in the feather barbs at the shoulder against the very dark background.

A pretty and interesting portrait for the head position and fluffed feathers on the back.

Angela,
I love the pose, the ruffled feather on the back, and the lovely details evident in the whites. Lovely natural color in the bill, lores and eye. This is simple, understated but elegant.

Hi Angela,
Wonderful details and even illumination. Great job with the whites, no color cast. The dark background works nicely with this one.
