Very special image, played on extremes of light tones. Subjects and composition help to make this picture really original.

It is an interesting comp and the juxtaposition of the pelicans adds a nice tension to the image. You have nice details in the darker bits of the birds, but the whites are blown in many areas. You may have need to use soem negative EV compensation in the field. I'm not sure you would be able to reduce the whites sufficiently in RAW which is a shame, this image has drama

I agree with Mia on this shot Lucy. Great action here. The whites are a problem and I too am not sure they can be rescued, but I would try if this was mine.
