Soft Colors

Hi everyone. I'm not sure what these small cluster of flowers are, the stems look kind of like wild garlic

I was going for the soft look here and this is what I came up with.

Canon 7D with tripod, Canon 100mm macro, AE Priority, 1/100sec, F/5, +1/3 exposure comp, ISO 400.

Thanks for looking and all C&C welcomed.
John

Hi John :wavey: Love this composition  The soft sublime color and form are amazing. Your choice of DOF is marvelous. Monet would be proud. :toast:

Beautiful image John. Love the color palette and the dof decision really makes the image for me. Superb. No suggestions on my part.

John:
Good soft focus image. Like the pastel color. The only distraction is the white patch in the RLC; would be great if this area has the same color palette.

Enough in sharp focus to catch my attention John. The colors are great. I like the soft/crammed look. Very nice.

Oh, John, you've almost got it. The flowers and the pink background are perfect. I find the OOF white/gray in the LR distracting. I think some PS or NIK magic could solve the problem. and in this case, I see no reason to have all of that space on the right side of the image. You are so close to perfection here, I can almost taste it.

Keep shooting, please.

Cool image and nice use of DOF. I am in the camp of questioning the white area lower right. I find it overwhelms the image a bit for me.

The background really makes this shot. Your dof making most of the image soft works extremely well.

John: I really like the main subject and the left side. The white patch on the right doesn't work for me all that well. I would be tempted to crop this to a vertical. >=))>
