Australian Pipit

Finally got out today - nice even overcast skies and a gentle breeze.
This pipit was hanging around a fence line (I suspect it had a nest) but the fence was shiny new. Finally dropped down onto a dead banksia.
Simon and I are off bush for a week.

cheers

Rob, I am going to have to stop commenting on your images. It is getting boring. You never give me anything to nit about. Great DOF, detail, etc. Very well done, keep up the good work.

Sorry Rob, have to agree with Ron. Just can't provide any constructive critique on your photos.

Very nice, perfect perch, perfect little head turn and pose, and a terrific background. :toast: :toast:

Hi Rob,
Excellent bird on a stick. Good detail throughout with that great matte smooth background. Hope your trip gets some more of those beautifully colored birds of Australia.

Rob,

First, I hope that you and Simon have a great trip with plenty of bird action.

Next; I love the subdued color palette in this image, the pose of the pipit, details, comp and soft light. Very well done.

A lovely image, you've even managed to make sure that all the colours in the perch and background match the colours in the bird itself
Great work.
