The Aftermath

The Cassiar Highway in North-Westen British Columbia had just been re-opened due to forest fires. Some areas still had lingering smoke from spot fires still smouldering. This was one such area. It was early evening with low light, so the exposure presented here is an accurate depiction of the conditions.

Sad as it is to see sometimes, this is natural too, and your image seems to really capture the essence of the event.

Very moody. Reminds me of the forest shown during the opening scenes in "Gladiator". Very good work!

Interesting composition with the trees on the ground and the trees still standing. The bluish color works perfect to create the sad mood.

Excellent composition Timothy! :toast: The highlights almost look like piano keys.

Very strong capture. I think it looks excellent. You could consider accentuating the mood of the scene by processing it with a cooler white balance to add even more blue. Just a thought, not a critique.
