Sandy, Katydids are normally pretty active (at least their antennae) so you really did will with this long exposure! (by the way, this is a female) Excellent job getting it all in focus, including the flower. The plain background sets it off well, but I am not quite sure of the color of the green behind such a yellow-green plant.

I love the way she posed inside that flower for you. Nicely captured.

Lovely comp. I like the BG you have, but wonder if a different shade would give more 3D pop?
Great job getting everything so sharp!

I think it's a great POV with nice DOF and well composed Sally. Hard to make a katydid look this appealing, but you pulled it off nicely..I've used the poster board before. For this shot I might have tried using a light sky blue color, but a matter of taste.. You could shoot a bit faster/sharper?
Well done :toast:

Tried the light blue, and several other colors, but I really did not like them.
How about THIS?

Nice find and capture, Sandy. Your first choice of BG color is fine by me. Only nit, minor one at that, is that the brighter whites in the lily are a little hot. :wavey:

Congratulations on the EP Sandy! I definately like the lighter background version but that is a matter of personnal taste. It is more high key and appealing to me. :toast:
