Greater Flameback Woodpecker scouting for nesting site.
I happened to post from same session, some time back but techs were just not the right.
When I happened to see this bird for the first time about 30 years back, I was stunned as to how could a bird be so beautiful, wasn't a photographer then.
Thankyou so much for your kind attention & views!

A gorgeous looking bird... kind of a mix between our Yellow-Bellied Sapsucker and a Pileated Woodpecker. It looks a little bright overall however, so I would play with the exposure a little.

A beautiful bird, indeed, Jagdeep. Nice job handling all those super saturated colors. :toast:

Very beautiful bird. Great pose, colors and detail, in fact I'm a bit surprised the dof is this good with f4.5. :toast:

Jagdeep. Awesome looking woodpecker. I really like the BG being completely filled by the tree. Nice sharpness on the bird too. Not sure about the brightness, as it looks good on my calibrated monitor. Well done.

Very nicely done on this woodpecker capture Jagdeep. He reminds me in a lot ways of our North American Pileated except yours has the added yellow/golden scapular and tertial feather accents.
Well composed with wonderful detail too!

Nice shot Jagdeep. A different bird than we usually see here. Looks like the light was super.

Stunningly beautiful Jagdeep. I really like the wood in the setting, the knot is very interesting and the colors are very harmonious.

Beautiful bird in a great pose!
IMO, the BG (wood) colors compete a bit with the bird, so I'd personally tone then down a bit.

I love the colors on this woodpecker. Nice open bill pose with the darker wood behind him making him stand out well.

Jagdeep,
I do not know how it would be said in Hindi but this is a right place and right time moment. Lighting and clarity is great.
