This was shot last month on Upper Waterton Lake in Alberta, Canada. Typically, the lake is very windy (and was most of that day), but it died down for about 15 minutes which left the water like glass.

Canon 16-35mm f/2.8L II at 16mm
ISO400 1/200 sec f/7.1
Circular Polarizer used

Extremely rare to see Waterton so calm...
Good shot and welcome to NPN.

Very nice symmetry and reflection! Minor nit--the bottom is a bit dark--in the shade i guess.
Great entry!

Very very nice Ryan. Maybe a little electric for my tastes, and the uneven sky polarization is a bit distracting though probably unavoidable here if you really needed the polarizer. Very nice and I like the comp here creating some good diagonals.

Very nice reflection postcard, Ryan. I like the centered horizon because it amplifies the symmetry and the graphical impact. I'm not so excited about the dark blue sky (& reflection) with it's localized darkness and sharp gradients. That's the main reason why I rarely use a polarizer any more when there is blue sky present. It does help with reflections though because it eliminates the glare.

This is not only worthy of being a post card but also a large print or a
calendar image.
