Techs:
Nikon D300 + Nikkor 1005mm VR micro + tripod
Almost full frame.
Focus stacked from few images. Could not make more images to stack due to its movement.
Critiques welcome.

I like the composition and the colours of the beetle. Very well done.

Amazing details and fine capture of the iridescence of this (little?) beetle.

Balakumar:
Was shotting this beetle yesterday but nowhere as good as yours. You have captured the sheen and color here and the stack certainly helped. Did you use a CPL?

Thank you all for your time.
@Gary: No, I did not use a CPL. I too have had difficult times shooting this beetle in past with specular highlights reflecting off its shell. This time, the lighting conditions were overcast and hence diffused enough I guess.

Excellent results, even with the 'short' stack Balakumar.
Sharp details, especially nice 'rainbow' of metallic colors as well..
Great comp, well done & have good weekend!
