WC451 - Valdez Vista
by Gary Minish
An unusual day in Valdez, Alaska. It's extremely rare to have blue sky (especially with obvious high level winds) and no wind at ground level. Basically it's hard to get water reflection shots on clear days. I had to stop and take advantage of this unusual event with a combination of dynamic skies and the mirror like water. It was a little late in the evening (about 8:00PM) so I didn't have direct light on the foreground but it was still worth the effort.
This is 4 vertical photos stitched with AutopanoPro. All frames were shot with a Sony R1 at: ISO=160, f8.0, 1/200sec
