A stunning image. And al it took was loading down to the face on my slow dial up connection to know who made this shot. Delightful light; excellent detail; nice clean composition.

Ronnie,

Super Congratulations on the cover shot. Well deserved Ronnie. This is a beatiful image as well. Fantastic depth of field for being wide open with the TC. Sharp from stem to stern. Great background and a nice perch. Head turn is obviously what makes this special though. Super job Ronnie. :jump:

Super Ronnie! Less than perfect DOF would have spoiled this but you nailed that along with everything else. Not sure my camera has ever seen 1/30 sec while shooting birds...

Stunning detail! What a magnificent bird. Detail and awesome colors jump out from the pleasing background.Even the perch shape fits well with the position of the bird, I love the over the shoulder headturn.
