This is a cactus flower that I shot by the side of FM 359 in front of one of our local feed stores. I took a lot of great photos of this cactus, but liked this one the best.
The natural back-lighting gives it a veiled, transparent look.

I can see why. Beautiful rich color, superb detail in the textures and an excellent exposure. A very fine image for my tastes.

Beautiful, Lucy. I like not only the backlight but also the reflected light in the front of the flower and the low saturation that allows all the details to be seen. Excellent work.
