Living among the ruins

I go away for a week and you people put up 2 pages of incredible work! It's taken me two nights just to catch up on my comments.
I found this rabbitbrush skeleton with some nice light on it and the flowers blooming among it's branches down in the San Luis Valley while I was there.

5d, 28-135mm, tripod, shutter release,

Comments and critiques always welcome, and thanks for looking,

Morris

Yes, it is hard to keep up with the constant stream of creativity in this gallery! I normally don't go online on the weekend and it takes me a while to catch up just 2 days of postings.

Love the light on the bush and the sprinkling of purple flowers. The bush really pops from the dark bg. Excellent image.

Morris, Who said Photography is painting with light ?

Well seen and a very apt title. A bigger size might show the pink flower in better detail.

Terrific color, light, and detail. My only suggestion might be to clone out the yellow flowers that are at the top of the frame....my eye keeps going up there and away from the main subject. Great find!

Really nice Morris, I know this is early morning or evening angled light, but I can't remember an intimate image that used it so creatively.

Beautifully sharp ( and lit ) capture of a fascinating subject, Morris. I love this image especially because it is so suggestive of energy.

Morris: Great find and light. This is really good photography. I can also see some frame filling abstracts in this scene that would be fun to play with. Well seen and captured. >=))>
