Rockport Texas. March 2010

I wish, I wish. The DOF was either larger (or smaller), but the fish detail in the pouch makes it for me.

D3 ISO 400 300/2.8 with 1.7 tc. f8. 1/2000 -0.7ev. Resting on car window.

Nice Angela. You've already flogged yourself for the only problem with the shot.

Wow! What a cool shot, especially with the semi-transparent pouch showing so much of the fish. Terrific shot, and while I see your point on DOF, I wouldn't have ever mentioned it, if you hadn't. The shot is very effective, just as is.

Very interesting image, the DOF is fine as far as I am concerned. IMHO if the back pelican was also sharp it could distract from the action in the pouch of the front bird. Thanks for sharing.

That's quite a fish, really nice action Angela, I agree with you on the dof but that's minor. :toast:

Very neat shot Angela. The detail of the fish in pouch is what makes the shot, IMO. The detail and the exposure are excellent on the focused subject and I'm not at all bothered by the oof second bird. Nice work. :toast:

You nailed the exposure, the DOF is fine with your subject clear and sharp.
Excellent stop action, great light Angela :toast:

Terrific capture, Angela. I'm fine with the DOF as is and I agree that the fish detail in the pouch really makes this image special. There is some "stuff" along the RHS that you could consider cropping out. Snipping the tail of the front bird doesn't hurt this image. So, snipping the back bird a bit likely would be o.k. too. :toast:

Amazing shot with the fish in the pouch and great job on a difficult contrast type shot, well done.
