Chesnut-rumped Thornbill

This is the same bird, or its mate, that Simon posted. After feeding the young at the hollow it would land on this branch for a second or two before flying off again. I got lots of blurred and oof shots and a couple of sharp ones. The yellow in the background is a flowering Cassia bush.

cheers

"I got lots of blurred and oof shots and a couple of sharp ones.." - Looks like this is one of the "sharp ones"
Excellent details and colors. The nice clean background helps the bird pop off the frame. Interesting perch also. Well done. :toast:

Top drawer image, Rob. Love the way the Thornbill's colour matches that of the perch and the BG is a real stunner and such a gorgeous colour.

Such a terrific background, very unique color, and it certainly goes well with the muted tones of both the perch and brid. Nice detail in the bird too, and that perch is very cool, especially being able to see through it in the one part. :toast:

A pleasing image, as usual. The coarse look of the feathers reminds me of our Verdins here in the AZ desert.

Very good detail where it counts, great clean BG color to make this bird really stand out, and a nice perch and pose. All good. :toast:

That Cassia bush sure provided a pleasing backdrop. Nice details and the perch is great.

What a background Rob. WOW. The perch is very complimentary to the bird and the bird is very sharp from the perch forward. Excellent light. Comp is perfect. Well done Rob. :toast:

Rob,

The OOF cassia bush in the background was a great color to set off the subtle tones of the bird's plumage. A very appealing image as posted. Techs are wonderful as always.

Excellent image as usual Rob, so sharp and what a lovely background. Pity about the slit in the branch on the right as it looks like a snake with it's mouth open, it's definately got an eye! Graham
