Louisiana Heron

Got this Tri-colored in all it's glory. It was wearing it's Sunday's best breeding plumage and colors.
Had some nice soft cloudy afternoon light to work with. I was fortunate to get a great classic pose that clearly showed the buff-colored plumes on its back.

Beautiful blues and greens in this and the detail on most of the heron and perch is wonderful. I'm not seeing any detail in the white plumes, and a bit more of a head turn would be nice, but I'd be happy to have taken this. Sharon

Your perches in that swamp are priceless Ronnie. Wonderful detail. Slightly more eye contact would have been nice.

cheers

Nice image. The colors and the light are sweet. Just a little more head turn would have made it extra nice.

Superb lighting Ronnie. I really like the way the foliage frames the heron. A little more head turn would have been nice, however an awesome image as posted.

Ronnie,
I really like the plumage colors you captured so well. Beautiful setting and excellent background, as usual.

Holy cow, this is amazingly good! Love the light quality and delicate detail retention. Should have used some fill flash thought!!! (LOL, just teasing).
