Earthtones

Thanks for all the comments on my last post.
Came across these fungi while bushwhacking around some deep water this morning. I thought the angles of the trunks and the stacked fungi were interesting. Not exactly flora, but it's not really a landscape and considering the middle growth is about 6 inches across it doesn't fit the macro mold either. Comments welcome, thanks for looking. Larger version included.

Bruce, really like the tones and earth colors and absolutely top notch the way the eye follows the stack of fungi.

Yes, very interesting.

Cheers,

Carol

Outstanding composition for my tastes Bruce and excellent detail. Fascinating subject as well. Outstanding image. Post these here anytime you'd like - no explanation needed.

More than anything I like the POV, looking up at the mushrooms. Nice stuff! :toast:

Bruce: If it grows, it goes is about the only standard for this gallery, especially when the subjects are as cool as this. Superb comp and presentation. >=))>

A fine detail shot and I like the neutrals. The comp and dof show these off well!

The slight diagonal arrangement makes for a stellar composition Bruce  . The textures on the backdrop add so much to the aesthetics. I don't see how this can be bettered.

Just lovely :toast:

Very appealing stack fungi formation. The texture is very interesting and nicely contrasted with the tree trunk. Well seen and captured. :toast:

Good stuff. This has a monochromatic feel to it, yet there are so many shades of tan/brown and the textures are great. :toast:
