Hosta Dunes

Nikon D300, Sigma 150 + 32mm ET, F/22, 1.6sec, ISO 200. Mirror up, cable release.

I was fascinated by the patterns and lines of these golden Hosta leaves. I tried to create a faux landscape with them, I hope it works. Comments appreciated.

Outstanding composition Albert. I like this a lot exactly as posted but think it might also make a striking black and white conversion. Very fine work.

This would have been a great submission for "What is it?" Never would have guessed Hosta leaves. Looks more like baked bread. Very cool.

Albert, I love the lines, spaces and haven't the faintest idea what Hosta leaves are. To me your faux landscape looks like a golden crust on a pie, but please don't hold that against me

Great textures.

Cheers,

Carol

Everything has been said, Albert. I can only agree with the great comments your photo already received. The only other comment I wanted to add was that I have seen a ton of Hosta varieties but never before have I seen Golden Leaves on a Hosta.

Lovely magical photo :toast:

Love the concept, Albert ! I like it when you can see larger worlds in a small space, and the patterns are beautiful !!

Albert, this is one of your best images. Really works. Love the lines and "bumps" of the landscape.

Beautiful orginization in this composition Albert. The front curve lines make a great contrast with the (almost) diagonal lines of the farther leaf. A creative work.
Cheers.

Ram Pai " Never before have i see golden leaves on a hosta" Are you kidding Ram  here in Quebec, they turn golden yellow like the maple leafs, i thought that would happen in wisconsin. Carol: The hosta is very common plant in the central and northern states and canada It turns yellow in the fall. to all the others, I greatly appreciate the comments

It works very well. I've never seen Hosta leaves like these. The opposing lines and textures make this one really worth staring at for awhile. Excellent job Albert. :toast:

Imaginative and effective. Way to go, Albert. I thought it was something about Pumkins. See, you've created something of a psychological teaser to find out what's really on our minds! ;-) Pie, bread, pumpkin– a few of us are hungry.
