Mount Cook (Aoraki) is the highest mountain in New Zealand, shown here at the end of a glorious winter day. New Zealand is a an amazing country, and I was lucky enough to spend most of June & July there amidst my 8 months of travelling.

Wow what a trip Kenn. It must have been incredible. It is good to see you posting again. I like the composition and processing a lot. I think lightening and adding a bit more punch in the fg and lake area would improve this already spectacular scene. Looking forward to seeing more images from you! Welcome back!

8 months of traveling, very lucky indeed... Looks like a beautiful area and you captured it well.

I like all the interesting elements in the scene and the grandness and sense of wildness this holds. It's a bit underexposed on my monitor, but that may be because I just turned it on.

Here's a minor redo where I tried making the bottom two thirds brighter and give a little more punch to the lake as suggested. I'm still getting a feel for processing things on this computer, as it seems to maybe show things a bit brighter than they really are. Were the changes too much/little or just right?

Many thanks for all the feedback.

Magnificent place Kenn. Love the blues and the light hitting the background peaks. I definitely like the second one better, it is punchier. I see a light area on the ice about midway up on the right. I take it that's just reflection?

I think that i like the first version better: the main point is that the immediate FG is too bare.
The light on the peaks is gorgeous.

well done,

Changes in the re-post are subtle, but they look good. I could see taking a tinge of blue (maybe more) out of the ice and lower 2/3rds.
